Plicaria leiocarpa (Currey) Boud. Kohlenbecherling. Cup 1–6cm across, cup-shaped at first, soon expanding and becoming almost flat, sessile, inner surface blackish-brown, outer dull brown covered in black sooty patches. Flesh yellowish buff yielding yellowish juice on cutting. Asci 200 x 10µ, blued at the tip by iodine. Spores globose, smooth, containing several small oil droplets, 8–9µ diameter. Habitat on bonfire sites or on heaths after forest fires. Season autumn to spring. Frequent. Not edible. Found In Europe.
